The purpose of this Request for Proposal (RFP) is to collect information from parties interested in providing mattress transportation services in Oregon for the Mattress Recycling Council so that we can use the information to assess the parties’ qualifications, experience, and competitiveness. MRC is interested in entering contracts with a base term of 2 years that can be extended in annual increments.

MRC will compensate the transportation firm for transporting units from collection sites and collection events throughout Oregon to one of the contracted recyclers in Portland, Eugene, or Klamath Falls. MRC will coordinate and assign each delivery.

The transportation contracts will be contingent on approval of MRC’s Oregon plan by the Oregon Department of Environmental Quality.
