Ava joined the organization as the new vice president for policy and government affairs for both MRC and ISPA.  At MRC, she will be responsible for communicating the mattress industry’s interests and concerns to lawmakers and other organizations. For ISPA, Ava, an attorney, will direct a broad range of regulatory and legislative issues with federal, state, and local governments and policymakers. 

Prior to joining ISPA, Ava worked in the legal, public policy, and procurement sectors where she built a large network of state and federal government relationships. In her previous role as a lobbyist, she worked with state and federal policymakers on sustainability plans and ways to lower automobile manufacturers’ carbon footprint. Prior to that, Ava spent time working on Capitol Hill as counsel for a major committee and as a lobbyist for a large trade association. In her previous roles, she advised companies on the impact of legislative initiatives and developed strategic plans to navigate political issues.  

Ava earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and a law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
