We are most interested in proposals focused on proving the technical feasibility of an innovation for achieving the targeted use for the recycled material.
We are unlikely to fund proposals to incinerate the reclaimed materials but might be interested in those that convert the material into new or synthetic fuels.
We are unlikely to fund projects to further develop research topics already receiving funding or that focus on existing uses of reclaimed mattress materials.

Leading the Development of Solutions
We lead efforts to curb illegal dumping by collaborating with local stakeholders to understand the scope of the problem in Oregon and investing in community outreach initiatives to address this persistent problem.
Making an Investment
We fund the Illegally Dumped Mattress Collection Initiative in Oregon. This program works with a network of local and county governments to collect data on illegally dumped mattresses.
Creating Awareness

Industry-Leading Resources
We provide outreach material to help local governments educate residents about the right way to dispose of a used mattress and how to access our no-cost recycling program.
We also created a guide for policy makers looking for best practices in addressing the illegal dumping of durable waste, and lesson plan activities for those interested in educating youth about how to recycle properly and the impact of waste on the environment.
Funding New Solutions
We dedicate resources to implement and fund workable intervention solutions.
We engage communities working to mitigate illegal dumping by establishing collection sites and hosting mattress collection events to provide convenient no-cost access to proper mattress disposal and recycling.
