Mike came out of semi-retirement in 2018 to become a Research Consultant for MRC. His passion for recycling and developing a circular economy has been integral to helping MRC conduct and carry out many research projects. Mike’s previous experience includes heading up North American Innovation for a global supplier of urethane chemicals, a key component in the manufacture of mattress foams. Mike is exploring ideas to improve mattress recycling technology or develop novel uses for recycled materials. 

When he’s not outdoors playing golf, tennis, hiking or cycling, Mike can be found singing in a local choral society, because every choir needs at least one Irish tenor.
