As COVID-19 cases surge MRC is working diligently to support our collection, transportation and recycling infrastructure. Important information is below.
Collectors:
- We understand that it may become necessary to suspend your operations. Keep your MRC program coordinator updated of your operating status.

If you are unable to reach your program coordinator, contact MRC Customer Service at info@mattressrecyclingcouncil.org or 1-855-229-1691. - MRC has proactively posted a notice on www.ByeByeMattress.com instructing the public to contact drop-off locations before delivering old mattresses for recycling. Check your locator listing to verify accuracy of your information. Contact your program coordinator with any changes.
- Regarding handling used mattresses exposed to COVID-19, OSHA says workers can treat them “like any other non-contaminated municipal waste.” Additional information is available on the OSHA website.
