Kate Caddy
Director of Sustainability
Kate joined MRC in 2017 because she wanted to be a part of the solution for reducing material entering the waste stream. Her interest in protecting the planet goes back to college, where she studied business and environmental studies. More recently she earned her master’s degree in environmental studies focusing on sustainable development. Before being promoted to Manager of Sustainability, Kate previously served as the Northeast Program Coordinator, overseeing the expansion of the collection network in Connecticut and Rhode Island before taking on the role of Sustainability Coordinator working on special projects. She is also the first point of contact for manufacturers interested in participating in MRC’s Sleep Products Sustainability Program (SP2). Before joining MRC, Kate worked for eight years in quality and regulatory affairs and spent several years working for or volunteering with Connecticut-based environmental organizations.
Kate loves to be outside and can be found either hiking, running or snowshoeing, when there’s enough snow! Kate also loves teaching her kids how to identify trees and sharing her passion for the environment.
