Recycling Facilities
A participating recycling facility will accept large quantities. An appointment is required. See locator for recycling facilities.

Select sites accept commercial volume for free. Unit limits may apply and an appointment may be required. See list for details.

Commercial Volume Pickup
MRC will pick up mattresses from mattress retailers, hotels, military sources, healthcare facilities and universities with at least 100 units. Retailers must be compliant with California’s law (collecting and remitting the required recycling fee and maintaining a registration with MRC). See full details here.

Residents

Residents can recycle their mattresses and box springs by dropping off units at a participating recycler, collection site or collection event.

Retailers must offer to take back old mattresses and box springs when they deliver new units. Residents can also access the program through their community curbside collection programs.
